GMCT Ltd are one of the only providers for Plant Apprenticeships through the CITB in Greater Manchester and the North of England. We have recently been accepted onto the Register Of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RAOTP) with the Sills Funding Agency (SFA)

Our training staff have over 20 years experience in construction training especially around plant and we offer training packages to suit individuals and employers, ensuring that each delegate has the correct skills to maintain and operate plant safely.

The apprenticeship program is a Nationally  recognised framework,  which takes the learner through plant specific training over an eighteen month period. During this time the learner will be taught how to operate four pieces of plant from 360 excavators, forward  tipping dumpers, ride on rollers and telehandlers.

There is also the option to advance the learners to CPCS testing during this time, making the operative more employable on site.

Our CPCS/CSkills awards, plant training and testing site is situated just 1 mile of the M60 junction 19, and covers an area of over two acres.

The construction industry is facing an increasing demand for plant operators and the current training provision is not meeting the demand nationally, leaving employers with issues finding operators with the correct skill set and competence cards needed to carry out the work.

If you are a employer that has recently committed to the apprenticeship levy then we can  help train  your apprentices.
